Thing #4

Well, I've finally gotten around to Thing #4 and I feel like I've completed a marathon. Yes, I know how pathetic that is....For some reason every technology-related task seems to take me twice as long as the average citizen. It's not that I don't want to do it or don't want to know these things. It's just that none of it comes naturally to me. At least I'm trying. Right? Anyways, I set up a Flikr account, uploaded some pictures and put one on my blog. I've been pretty envious of other peoples sweet blogs, with all the pictures. Now I can do it myself. Just don't be surprised if you see a few upside down....

My Fella

This is piece from an exhibition, "Arts of Japan: The John C. Weber Collection", that was showing at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. They call it 'Hotei' and attribute it to Kano Masanubo (15th-16th century). I call it 'My Fella' because I fell in love with him at first sight. I attribute that to his cheerful disposition and rub-able belly.
